ANZCA POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS

Welcome!

This section is for all postgraduate members of ANZCA and those considering joining. It's a new resource and like all websites we plan on expanding as members help us with ideas on what you would like to see included as part of this section of the ANZCA site.

To get started, the Postgraduate Representatives from last year, Lucy Cameron (Australian region) and Alison Henderson (NZ region) compiled a list of professional journals, conferences and websites that might be of interest to postgrads. We are currently working on a list of study resources; books, symposiums, websites etc. The pages will be uploaded soon and any suggested inclusions for both pages would be most welcome.

If you're not a student member (see Member link for further info.), ANZCA is a great organisation for postgraduate students to be involved in. For example, the annual ANZCA conference provides postgraduate students with the opportunity to present papers and network with academics and those working within the media, communications and cultural industries. At the next ANZCA conference we would like to arrange a special forum for postgrad students and would welcome your ideas for possible speakers, or suggestions for a theme, or topics to focus on.

A postgraduate network, is another initiative, with student members working with Regional Representatives to help organise regular get togethers for student and professional members. To start this initiative, the Melbourne Region is organising a get together in late November, we'll keep you posted with date and venue.
